Her job is to give life!

Dear UBS, E, Bradley, Ronna, Pamela, Margaret, Mary, Erin, Esther, and Jamie,

This is Lar, a 36 year-old mother of three children. She was forced to flee from her village in Burma because of violent conflict there. She moved to a refugee camp in Thailand with her family when she was just six years old. Now she is working at Mae Tao Clinic (MTC).

Lar has been a medic for 12 years. She heard about MTC and the vital health services it provides and decided to begin training as a health worker in 1997. She loves to work at the maternity ward delivering babies. On average, ten babies are born everyday at her department. As long as MTC still exists, she will continue to help and cure patients. She would not like to go back to Burma because she does not trust the government and she has no citizenship or identification.

Thanks to you all, Lar can continue her vital role as a health worker at the Mae Tao Clinic maternity ward, a position she cherishes. Thank you for helping her and all the mothers and babies she assists!
